Breakthrough into a new age
(by Ivo Sasek)

"Then God said to Noah, 'The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.'" (Gen. 6:13 nasb)

"Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 'Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them instantly.'" (Num. 16:20-21 nasb)

"And there was given to me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, 'Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it. And leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.'" (Rev. 11:1-2 nasb)

Every breakthrough into a new age was always preceded by a great separation.  We are now at the beginning of the greatest separation that has ever ushered in a new age.  Judgement has started in the house of God and Revelation 11:1-2 is being fulfilled today right before our eyes.  Before God brings the last great judgements over the earth he will lead his entire house through an evaluation and everything which is characteristic of the courtyard and has not become the temple of God itself, will be thrown out.

I do not need to say, “"Thus says the Lord", because everyone who has truly been born of God knows that I am saying the truth.  We have entered into the midst of harvest time and God has commanded his reapers, "First gather the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn." (Matt. 13:30)  The call, "Come out to meet him!" is taking place right now in our day and time.  And more and more we here the cry, “"Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out!"  One who has not had the measuring rod applied to him, and he who has not been gathered from reapers into the barn and whoever has not heard the call of God, that person is lethargic and blind and is in the same state of false security as people were in the days of Noah and Lot.  They ate and drank, they married and gave in marriage until the day Noah entered the ark and the floods came. On the day that Lot went out fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and killed all the inhabitants of the city.  This is how it will be on the day of the Lord's revelation, just as he prophesied.  (Luke 17:26-30)

Do you realize that the promised morning star of 2 Pet. 1:19 has already started to shine?  Do you experience the same thing that we along with the multitudes of  others experience, whom God has called out?  The presence and revelation of the Lord is in our midst.  Together we can see it, it is more real to us than the nature around us.  Can you see Him too?  If not, that's the proof that you are not walking according to the decrees of God's salvation relevant for these days.  Do these attestations scare you?  It will be much worse for you when you miss the day of his coming and the restoration of his house because of indifference or a lack of knowledge.  I'm speaking today in very direct and clear terms, then the things that have happened to us on account of the presence of God leave us no alternative.  I am obligated to speak the truth just as it is, to all people.  One might want to accuse us, as some already have, that we think too much of ourselves and that we are placing ourselves above the people of God.  Those were exactly the words of Miriam before she was struck with leprosy and the words of Korah, Dathan and Abiram before the earth opened up under their feet and swallowed them whole.

I regret every minute in which I did not blow this trumpet more clearly. I was unsure if all these tribulations that had taken place in our lives over the past decades were also to play such a great influential role in others.  Because we experience the Fear and Glory of the Lord in a constant and continuous way effecting every part of our lives, I have to tell it like it is:  Whoever did not let himself be baptised in the time of John the Baptist rejected simultaneously God's plan of salvation.  The same goes for today: whoever does not take part in the Evaluation of the Temple of God, simultaneously rejects God's plan of salvation for this hour.

Therefore, in the name of the Lord I call upon all our readers, who until now have not take part, to humble themselves under the Evaluation.  This word is not only for the German speaking countries but for the entire earth.  God will accomplish the same work throughout the entire earth.  Voluntarily let yourselves be evaluated, live accountable to the flow of the life and power of God.  I am calling upon you, to grow into the consummate restoration, and to become a measuring rod of God yourself.  Whoever is from God, hears us and knows that this is the work which God is doing in our days.  Only proud, haughty and unclean people do not obey this call.  The Spirit of the Lord will separate everything, which does not belong to his temple.  Every form of individualism, every form of worrying about oneself, every form of the sin of self-awareness will now be thrown out.  It is of the highest importance in this hour to be able to discern between the flow of the Spirit of Life and every form of man-made religiousness.  All outward forms of Christianity will be separated from the true walk in Christ.  Whoever does not want to hear about this discernment and rejects this evaluation proves himself by the same to be an enemy of God and a courtyard Christian.  That person will be thrown out.  In all love and sincerity, and as one who wrestles for your soul and your eternal life I urge you to take part as quickly as possible in an evaluation.  Unless God himself has revealed to you another place where you can take part in an evaluation then your place is here.  Everyone is himself responsible to God for the decision he makes about everything I've said.  Recognize what God is doing:

"And the Lord said to me, 'What do you see Amos?' And I said, 'A plumb line.' Then the Lord said, 'Behold I am about to put a plumb line in the midst of My people Israel. I will spare them no longer.'" (Amos 7:8 nasb)

"I have made you an assayer and a tester among My people, that you may know and assay their way." (Jer. 6:27 nasb)

"As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the plan." (Ezek. 43:10 nasb)

"And I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the level." (Is. 28:17a nasb)

With heartfelt love and in truth,

The Magic Wand
 (by Anni Sasek)

Time and again it happens that the school faculty (especially at the pre-school or elementary level of education) uses a mystical or even an occult item as lesson helps. Of course they do this very discreetly and play it down. They think, "this is completely harmless" and their motive is "it fascinates the children so much".
In one instance they make a dream catcher using particular balls and feathers that will catch nightmares (when you hang it up, you won't need to worry about nightmares anymore).

In another instance one has to embrace a tree in order to hear it imparting wisdom. In another setting witches fly all over the classroom. Luckily these are only fixed on a transparent silk string; or birthday wishes are being shared with the help of a "wonder stone" or a magic wand.

Actually, we are pretty close to heathenism again, where the idols from wood, stone , gold, silver and "feathers" are called upon, aren't we?

One day, Anna-Sophia (6) came to me because at every birthday party in kindergarten, she repeatedly had this bad feeling about the magic wand, "Mom, why is not good to perform magic and what's wrong with witches?"

I tried to explain it to her as simply as possible, "We have a living God in whom we trust in all matters of life, to whom we can always pray and He will listen to us.  Performing magic is like praying to an evil power, with the goal of achieving one's own will. For children it may only be a game, but many do it for real when they are older and it starts to work."
But because man naturally has bad instincts, many bad things happen as a result. The same thing with the witches: In the beginning it seems to be merry and funny, but today there are many real witches who do such dark things. If one gets involved into this, a dark authority takes hold of the heart, and these people get into very difficult problems or become struck with diseases. We want to keep away from this.

Of course, the day soon came when this subject came up in kindergarten again. I do not know anymore, if it was a story or something else. Anyway, Anna-Sophia told me: "All of the children agreed: ‘'Yes, witches are cool, performing magic is great!' At this time I shook my head", she continued to tell me, "and said: 'That is not good and performing magic is bad, too!' Mom, then one of the girls became so angry at me, she took the wand, stretched it out to me and said furiously: 'Now I cast a spell on you, that you are no longer here!' but I just sat there the same as before", she finished her narration shrugging her shoulders.

I am always happy when the children can ignore these things because they have a relationship to the Lord and know real life of God.

So I do not have to run to the school all the time, intervening and being known as a fun spoiler. Instead they do it themselves on the spot; or they ask for other material or make other crafts.

Now once again we are experiencing the most mystic time of the year. When the days become short and the sun rarely shows up, man needs many other things again to compensate for his inner emptiness. At a time when thousands of children look forward to these moments, where they can show their long lists of presents and everywhere you can see the shining trees, this causes even our little Ruth-Elpida (3) to exclaim: "Mom, look, another idol!" Of course, we all laugh then, because we know that the older children have taught her this. Still, I am sure, that she feels already that this tree has nothing to say or impart to her.  The older ones know this too.  They know very well, that this more or less "family time" under the Christmas tree (for many maybe their only time in the year together as a whole family) is what we have at all times and is in fact reality, not made up, but in real harmony.  The children lack no presents because the satisfaction with what one has is more than the most expensive presents. That is why they can joyfully pass by these things.

Because of that we are encouraged to continue imparting to the children the character of things and real life in Christ. It is only through this that we really protect them from illusion and all that is fake.

Yours, Anni

Dry dock
(by Frank Diebold)

In our last newsletter we talked about going into "dry dock".  This means we take the time to work specifically on inside matters, in order to be fully equipped for the next stretch of our journey. At first we as a family wanted to combine the practical and pleasant things by having a change of scenery, at least for a few days.
There can be no objection to that in principle, but if I imagine a ship there in dry dock in a shipyard, being thoroughly inspected at the moment then the pictures coming into my mind are not very pleasant. There is hammering, boring, sanding, welding, cutting, fitting to, replacing and repairing parts, and so on. Depending on the repair needs the ship can be half dismantled. Only at the end of all these scabrous processes comes the most pleasant operation: a new coat of paint. Right after that the ship will once again be seaworthy.

Similarly, we as a family experienced our dry dock time. In the beginning we had no definite plans, though different opportunities for a spontaneous change of scenery remained open.

But right at the beginning the weather didn`t cooperate, so we prefered to stay at home until it got better. We could make use of the time here in order to deal with all the practical work in the house and garden. Everyone agreed with that. However the weather didn`t change as soon as we expected, so we put off the exodus out of our "tabernacle“" until the end of the week.

The combination of this situation with other internal family problems like difficulties with stating our personal needs and having individual ideas of how to organize the vacation, caused the initial family unity crumble very quickly. At the same time there sensitive points of contact among the children soon became noticeable in the daily dealings with each other which provided over and over for disharmony and quarreling. It was a fight at every level for us parents in order to get things under control and to conquer back the peace of the family. But with every passing day it seemed to be more hopeless. Even once when the weather turned nice we went out for a trip, but even this couldn't conceal the inner disharmony, never mind restoring it. By the end of the first week, when we had at first planned to go away, it happened that in spite of all our preceding endeavors all the disagreement and stubbornness in the heart of our eldest son hardened in an intensity we had never before experienced so that he decided to keep completely silent. Meanwhile the weather situation became stable, but we no longer had the desire to go away or take a trip.

This time of uncertainty about how the situation was going to work out and the acknowledgement that the family's ship was either going to break apart or be restored only by the intervention of the Lord caused a never known between us as parents as well as with the Lord. When after two days our eldest child broke the silence, the unity we were hoping for was nevertheless absent. Obviously the process of renovation had not been completed yet. After another round of talks we were able to work through all that had happened so that at the end of our dry dock time we were able to regain the unity as family again. In spite of this fresh and untested state of affairs it was still possible to visit our parents and grandparents for the last two days during our vacation.

Being there the Lord gave us a surprise encounter with some old friends and opened the doors in a way underrate of. We only had to enter and walk through without having to have specifically prepared ourselves.

Looking back we were and still are very grateful for being able to leave our own ideas of pleasure behind and follow the healing effects of the Lord.

It became obvious that we did to work on inside matters, rather it was the Lord's plan to use the time by giving our family ship a general overhaul.

Since then quite some time has passed by and our family barge is already going full speed ahead. All the interventions of the Lord have been tried and tested very well up till now. Our ship has became more maneuverable, moves much fast and there is a new atmosphere on board in which we can live together.

Thank you so much, Lord.
Frank

Vacation in a closet
(by Daniela Candinas)
A short insight into our dry dock:
Already weeks before our vacation we four women dealt with the question of how our dry dock should be.

Throughout a few days each one of considered the different possibilities for our time together. What's the biggest need to be filled? What will be most useful for serving better in our common race? Should we go in pairs of two or all four of us together? Do we stay in Walzenhausen or go away? We pretty much unanimously had the testimony that we should take vacation together.

After we had found out what the biggest deficiency was that needed to be worked on we could then determine our destination: vacation in the closet!

What? You don't know what that is? I'll explain it to you.  Vacation in the closet is where you sit in the dark yet you have the light, where it is dull yet you feel wonderful, where you haven't got anything yet you are the richest person, where nothing is possible yet you can do everything. It is there where the inner person comes to rest by letting go of all that is on the outside. There, where hectic, wanting and striving are replaced by His presence.  It was wonderful in closet! ?

There was also enough time for that which has edified and filled me up the most: The intentional, continual "digestion" of the last newsletter, The Olivetree, entitled: "Completed in HIM". For 14 days we occupied ourselves almost exclusively with this word. We felt the enormous power of faith that flowed out of these simple but deep revealing lines.

From where else should faith flow if not from the word? From where else does so much unbelief come, if not from the laziness of not constantly drinking from this rock of the word, until the honey flows. "Without a vision the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18)

I hope I could show you that this little piece of heaven on earth, the "closet",  is a good place for your future "dry docks".

Sincerely,  Daniela

How do you do it?
(by Johannes Braendli)
At the end of our family vacation we had noticed that during the planning phase of our dry-dock-times we had not exclusively asked God for His plan for our family situation.  Instead of that, we had compared ourselves with others, e.g. "The Saseks usually do it that way!"  Doesn't this happen to all of us at some point in time? "Ah, in that case I can surely do it the same way as well!"
God however is and remains specific, alive and not formal nor legalistic.  Therefore He distributes to each and everyone the plan which they need to move deeper into the mystery of God.
For example one person may be dead to the area of sports, so for him sport and games is just the right thing for him to relax during his spare time.  However for the brother next to him it is a sin to do the same since it is idolatry to him, an alien source from which he draws life instead of drawing out of God.
Having through our own transgression come across this distinction anew, we would like to draw your attention to it as well: Let us walk carefully and examine why we want to sometimes know exactly what, how and when others do things.  In any case my only focus shall once again be: How do You, Lord see my cell, and what is good for us?

Yours sincerely,
Johannes & family

Courtyard or Holy place
(by Bettina Busch)
It is Monday evening the first usual working day after our "dry dock" (see Daniela's article) time.
I am happily giving thanks to the Lord, while on my way home to the Eloah house. What usually runs me down, I could manage today by the power of the Lord. I could stand against my hesitating nature and in faith constantly and quickly give answers and manage all the many requests, inquiries etc. A victory has been gained, there where I usually become defeated. Hallelujah!

Then Daniela arrives (my cell- and partner of service) and during a short exchange she asked me: "Did you have a good day today?"  Of course, I answered, "Yes, I had", and I told her with pleasure about my victory.  Then came her reply, "Nevertheless I sense some restlessness in me.  Somehow I couldn't really sense you today."  I was surprised. "Lord is this possible", even though I personally experienced such a blessing? On that Monday evening I hadn't really understood the Lord in this situation of restlessness.  My eyes were first opened after hearing the sermon that was preached on the visitors day. We have to overcome the yeast together. A single scout had managed to make a whole nation despondent. Now I could see it very clearly.  My eyes and my heart weren't orientated one hundred percent on the consummate whole. What benefit do I have, when I personally achieve a victory, but we don't have the victory in fellowship together and we aren't together in the flow of life? And even if I had conquered the yeast of unbelief, it will continue to grow rampant until it has be thrown out by everyone. If only one brother or one sister remains in it, I will remain in it just as well. The spiritual reality doesn't even know an individual existence: I am we and we are I!

Thank you Lord for this vocation of no longer being a courtyard Christian, who is only interested in his own observance, but being qualified in you to help in supporting and building up the consummate whole! With the expectation of being able to approach HIM together.

Bettina

Dying to Live
(by Ruth Schneider)
Recently I had a conversation with a couple.  They told me that they would like to be cremated when thy die.  To them this seemed to be the most normal thing in the world, because meanwhile this indeed is what most people now do.  Shocked and moved, I asked them for their motives and we discussed the pros and contras of this issue for quite a long period of time.  However, it finally became clear that they could just not imagine why a body would be needed for the resurrection and that the question of the resurrection was even strange and unintelligable.
This conversation agitated me personally and I asked myself, "Would they actually just die with this attitude which lacked of faith and maybe even miss out on the first resurrection?" During our last baptismal service, Ivo told about a critical person, who was of the view that during water baptism, one only gets wet and nothing more!  Ivo's answer was, "Yes, with this attitude you will certainly only get wet, but whoever enters this death of the old man by faith comes out of the water as a new man!“"

There is such a large gap which lies between the Christianity that no longer even believes in resurrection after death and this reality that the Spirit has recently been increasingly impressing upon Ivo's ministry; the expectancy of the closely approaching resurrection of the body.  It is so close that it has become our duty to break through every form of death in our daily lives.

Do you know the 1000 deaths of daily life?  When you once again no longer know what to do, when you have made the same mistake innumerable times? When your partner and you find yourselves in the same deadlock, again? When you no longer recognize, where you lost the flow of life? When everything is dark and confusing?

Through this entcounter with the couple I clearly see the difference; the determining factor.  Since they cannot imagine how it can be after death - and this surpasses the human horizon - they draw a conclusion according to their human understanding...they give up and let themselves be cremated.  This is exactly where the secret lies.  It is only when I let myself go through these deaths in trusting and faith, that Life will result out of them.  When I took a stand in my situation in life by faith and determined, "Lord I do not know how this is going to be, I have no idea how this dead situation can ever be different. However you said that through this death I will attain the resurrection life.  Yes I insist that this death be changed to life and I go through this pressing situation by faith.  I think that each of you knows the glory afterwards, when the Lord saved supernaturally and I didn't stay down in the hole through unbelief!  Does that encourage you?  There is a resurrection life for every situation, if only we believe.  So I myself would like together with you, not to live in order to die but to die in order to live.

Ruth
